Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 11, 1995.

The oak branch stands for the Imperial Oak (Kaisereiche am Heiligenhäuschen) in the village, planted in 1906 and a landmark in the village. The sword is the symbol for St. Mauritius, the local patron saint.

The wheat and sickle refer to the agricultural character of the village.
