The arms were officially granted on May 16, 1962.

The arms show the Scheidterbach river and the local bridge as a canting element (Brücke=bridge). The two wheels are taken from the arms of Bischmisheim and Scheidt, as the municipality was created in 1960 from parts of those municipalities.
