Arms of Schaan

Official blazon

Blau-rot, durch silbernen Pfahl getrennt. Im blauen Feld eine goldene Ähre, im roten waagrecht ein silberner Fluss.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 12, 1938.

The colours blue and red are the Liechtenstein national colours. The ear of wheat in the blue field symbolises farming, while the wavy silver band on the red field represents the river Rhine.
