Wappen von Schönecken

Official blazon

(de)

Origin/meaning

The pentagram or star is taken from the arms of the medieval Lords of Schönecken. They were a branch of the Counts of Vianden and built the local castle. Their arms were three small shield, which were combined in a star shape by Richard von Schönecken in 1388.

Previously the municipality used arms with only the pentagram:

Wappen von Schönecken

The arms in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925
