Escudo de vermelho, com dois cachos de uvas de ouro, folhados de prata, realçados de negro e uma roda dentada de ouro; em chefe, vieira de ouro, realçada de negro. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ FIGUEIRÓ - SANTIAGO “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 6, 2000.

The scallop is the symbol of the local patron saint, St. James. The bunches of grapes are a symbol for the importanc eof the viticulture in the parish, whereas the cogwheel symbolises the local industries.
