SANTA RITA D'OESTE

State : São Paulo

Coat of arms (crest) of Santa Rita d'Oeste
Official blazon
Portuguese blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 19, 1979.

The rosary evokes St. Rita de Cassia, patron saint of the city, who was a nun in her lifetime and the cinquefoil alludes to the flower of the tree, a paineira (Chorisia speciosa St.-Hil.)under which the settlers took the first decisions regarding the future village.

The supporters show that coffee and corn are important agricultural products of the region.

The shield is surmounted by a mural crown appropriate to a city and a scroll below the shield bears the name of the city.
