Official blazon

Escut caironat: de sinople, una foguera d'argent; el peu d'or, 4 pals de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 13, 1992, but was already designed in 1986.

The pyre in the upper part of the shield symbolises the murder of the local patron saint, St. Fost (Faustus). The green colour is the local colour, which has been used for a long time.
The base shows the arms of Catalonia: "the royal arms (four pales Gules on Or) remind that the village was under the jurisdiction of the Crown".

From 1855 until 1992 the local council used a seal, showing the figure of St. Fost holding a palm tree, symbol of his martyrdom.
