Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 29, 1988.

St John the Apostle is the patron saint of the village church. His chief attribute is the cross and the scroll, which forms the main charge of the arms. The other charges are two Campanula flowers bursting in flames. The motif is taken from the church of St. Johann.
