Écartelé : aux 1er et 4e d'azur à la tour d'argent, maçonnée de sable, ouverte du champ, aux 2e et 3e de gueules à la coquille d'or; à la croix engrelée d'or brochant sur la partition, chargée en abîme d'un écusson tiercé en pal de sable, d'or et de gueules.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1924.

The arms are those of the Legrande de Vitanval family, former lords of the village. The inescutcheon shows the flag of Belgium: Sainte-Adresse hosted the Belgian government in exile between 1914 and 1918.
