Official blason

Écartelé: au 1er de gueules au casque romain d'argent au 2e d'azur à la roue à aubes d'argent, au 3e d'azur à l'édelweiss d'argent, au 4e de gueules à la croix d'argent. |- |English | blazon wanted |}

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 26, 1998.

The first quarter refers to the local patron saint, St. Ferréol, who was a Roman tribune. The second quarter refers to the water mills in the Chénay. The third refers to the high alpine region and nature, with an edelweiss flower. The fourth shows the cross of Savoie.
