Official blazon

Sakarakorokatkoisen kilven kultaisessa yläkentässä musta oinaanpää edestäpäin, mustassa alakentässä aaltokoroinen kultahirsi, jossa punainen, yhdeksänhankainen kirkkovene.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 4, 1950.

The parish is first mentioned in 1447. In 1475 the Olofsborg castle was built in the village, which is symbolised by the division line. The ram's head refers to a legend connected to the fortress regarding a giant ram, the guardian of the castle.

The base shows a typical church boat, used to travel back and forth to church.
