Escudo de azul, balança de ouro sustida por espada alçada, em lâmina flamejante de prata e empunhada de ouro. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ SÃO MIGUEL DE ALCAINÇA “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 7, 1998.

The sword and scales are the symbols of St. Michael, the local patron saint.
