Escudo de azul, imagem de São João Baptista de carnação vestido de pele de animal de sua cor, sustendo na mão direita uma concha de ouro e na esquerda o lábaro de prata com cruz firmada de vermelho e com cordeiro de prata deitado aos pés, acompanhado no cantão sinistro da campanha de uma espiga de milho de ouro. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas: “ SÃO JOÃO - OVAR “.
