Escudo de azul, báculo de ouro e, brocante, livro aberto de prata, encadernado de vermelho e debruado de ouro, entre duas vieiras de ouro; ponte ameada de três arcos de prata, lavrada de negro, movente dos flancos e de um ondeado de prata e azul. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ AMARANTE – S. GONÇALO “.
