Sinisessä kentässä kaksi hopeista silakkaa hirsittäin alatusten, joiden saatteena yhdeksän viisisakaraista kultatähteä ryhmitettyinä 3+3+3.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 14, 1954.

The arms show two herring, typical for a municipality depending on fishing. The nine stars refer to the nine inhabited islands in the municipality.
