RUPPERTSECKEN

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Donnersbergkreis (until 1969 Rockenhausen)
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Nordpfälzer Land (until 2020 Verbandsgemeinde Rockenhausen)

Wappen von Ruppertsecken/Arms (crest) of Ruppertsecken
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 7, 1955.

The above left arms were not officially granted, but used until 1955. The arms show the lion of the Pfalz and the arms of the Wittelsbach family, rulers of the Pfalz. The combination was already used on the local seal from 1774. In 1955 a wall was added to distinguish the arms from similar arms in the region. The wall symbolises the historical Ruppertseck castle.
