- (1970) In Blau zwei schräggekreuzte, abwärts gekehrte goldene Ruder.
- (1980) Von Gold und Grün im Zinnenschnitt (drei grüne Zinnen) geteilt, oben eine liegende schwarze Hirschstange, unten eine silberne Wellenleiste.
Origin/meaning
The old arms (above left) show two crossed rudders, a canting symbol for the town. The rudders are known from a stone decoration dating from 1593 in the town hall. Later the rudders were used on border stones and on the local seal. The colours were determined in 1936. The arms were officially confirmed in 1970.
The new arms (above right) were granted on January 25, 1980, after the merger with the other villages.
The new arms show in the upper half the deer antler of Württemberg, as the area historically belonged to Württemberg. The division line symbolises the formerly important Waldenstein castle in the municipality. The lower half shows a wavy bar for the Wieslauf river.
