Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1998.

The wavy bend symbolises the Lézarde river and the ponds and lakes in the municipality. the water mill wheels refer to the former water mills in the river. The chief shows a dovecote as a symbol for the local manor house, and in the base a sheave of flax for the cultivation of flax in the municipality.
