ROHRBRONN

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rems-Murr Kreis (until 1973 Waiblingen)
Incorporated into : 1972 Geradstetten (1974 Remshalden]])

Wappen von Rohrbronn

Official blazon

In Gold ein laufender roter Doppelröhrenbrunnen, darüber ein grüner Kirschenzweig mit einem grünen Blatt und drei roten Kirschen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 6, 1962.

Rohrbronn belonged to the village of Winterbach until 1828 when it became a separate municipality. The 19th century seal showed a crosier or staff and the letters R. B. The symbol was said to be the old village symbol, but no older images exist. After 1945 the village used in its seal the three deer antlers of the State of Baden-Württemberg. In 1960 the local council decided to apply for arms of the village. The cherries in the upper part symbolise the orchards in the Rohrbronn municipality. The fountain is a canting element; Rohr-bronn meaning pipe(d)-well.
