ROETGEN

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Aachen
Additions : 1971 Rott, Mulartshütte

Wappen von Roetgen/Arms (crest) of Roetgen
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 21, 1973.

The arms are based on the old arms of Rott, and show the symbol of St. Quirinus, the patron saint of Rott, who, according to the legend, killed a dragon with a crossed-spear.
