Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 15, 1948.

The hunting horn refers to the fact that the area was historically a hunting area for the Counts of Montfort. The horn also refers to the name of the locals when the local parish was established in 1426, the 'Kilchgenossen an dem Jagbach'(Jagbach means hunting-river).

The base shows a canting mountain (berg).

Although the blason states a brown horn, the municipality uses a red horn since the early 1970s.
