REMSECK AM NECKAR

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ludwigsburg
Additions : 1975 Aldingen, Hochberg, Hochdorf am Neckar, Neckargröningen, Neckarrems

Wappen von Remseck am Neckar/Arms (crest) of Remseck am Neckar
Official blazon
German In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Blau ein pfahlweise gestellter goldener Fisch, hinten in Silber ein roter Adlerflügel.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 21, 1977.

The fish is taken from the arms of Neckargröningen and Neckarrems and symbolises the Neckar and Rems rivers. In both previous arms the fish was silver, in the new arms it was changed to gold, the colour combination from the arms of Aldingen.

The wing is taken from the arms of the Nothaft von Hohenberg family, and was part of the arms of Hochberg and Hochdorf am Neckar.

The arms thus combine elements from the arms of the 5 former municipalities.
