Province : Midlands

Arms of Redcliff

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The city is surrounded by red rocks, symbolised by the small rock in the point of the shield. The city is a center of iron mining and steel industry. The center of the shield shows the red flames in the blast furnaces, whereas the chief shows the T-shaped iron ore ingots. The anvil depicts the steel industry and the two hands on the small shield show the development of the industry through (racial) co-operation and harmony.
