Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??-??-????.

The eight wheatears in the upper part symbolise the eight municipalities from which the origianl colonists of the area came from in 1833. The ears are bound together as a symbol for the new village. The wheat also refers to the agricultural character of the village. The base shows a large stone, a monument for the settlement and the early colonists in the village. The colours are those of the other municipalities in the Samtgemeinde Werlte.
