Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 18, 1995.

The arms show a linden tree, symbolising the former forests in the municipality, in which linden trees were very common. The two small shields show miner's tools and a beet, symbols for (chalk) mining and agriculture in the municipality. The miner's tools were also used on the seal of the village from the 19th century until 1953.
