Coat of arms (crest) of Rødekro

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1970.

The arms show a sword and three oxen-heads refer to the historical 'army-' or 'oxen-road' on which cattle was transported to Germany and which was an important North-South road.

The red colour is a canting element.
