RÖTENBACH

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Calw
Incorporated into : 1975 Bad Teinach-Zavelstein

Wappen von Rötenbach (Bad Teinach-Zavelstein)/Arms (crest) of Rötenbach (Bad Teinach-Zavelstein)
Official blazon
German Unter von Rot und Gold doppelreihig geschachtem Schildhaupt in Gold ein springender roter Hirsch.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??-??-1924.

The arms were designed in 1923/24 by the State Archives. The chief refers to the Zavelstein estate, to which the village historically belonged. The deer is a canting element for the Hirsau (Hirsch=deer) Abbey, which also had several possessions in the municipality.
