Official blazon

Escudo medio partido y cortado. Primero, de gules, un castillo de oro, donjonado de tres donjones, mazonado de sable y aclarado de azur. Segundo, jaquelado de quince piezas, ocho de oro y siete de veros. Tercero, de plata, el perro de San Roque de sable con una hogaza de pan de su color en la boca. Al timbre corona real de España.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on Decmeber 7, 2010.

The castle is the castle of Castille and was used on the old seals of the village. The second quarter shows the arms of the Duke of Frías and the base a wolf as a symbol of St. Rochus. in the village was a small chapel devoted to him.
