Origin/meaning

The first quarter shows the symbols of the Archangel Saint Raphael, the patron saint of Quebradillas.

The second guarter with the waves symbolise the fact that when the first settlers came here, there where a lot of little streams of water flowing. The name Quebradillas comes from the diminutive of the word quebradas which in Spanish means streams.

The lower part shows of a tree with red flowers which is abundant in the zone and have inspire a lot of local painters.
