Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on October 1, 1974.

The arms show a cross, the symbol of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. The escutcheon shows a Tau-cross, the symbol of St. Anthony and refers to the Neustift Convent, which owend parts of the area in 1162.
