PONCE

Ponce.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms are a variation on the arms of the founder of the city and the first Spanish conquistador on Puerto Rico, Ponce de Léon. The arms are obviously canting, from Pons Leonis or Lion's bridge.

Literature : Information received from Juan Morales, Florida, USA.
