Wappen von Pfalzdorf/Arms (crest) of Pfalzdorf
Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show the escarbunclo of the County Kleve in a green field, which symbolises the green fields and nature in the municipality. The escutcheon shows the lion of the Pfalz, after the village was named. The village was founded by several families originating from the Pfalz in the early 18th century. The families had fled from the Pfalz and wanted to emigrate to the United States. However, They were stopped at the Dutch border and thus settled on the moors near Goch. The settlement was officially allowed and acknowledged in 1743.
