Official blazon

Escudo de prata, armação de moinho de negro vestida e cordoada de azul, acompanhada em chefe de dois ramos de cereja de vermelho, folhadas de verde e em ponta de um cacho de uvas de púrpura, folhado de verde. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ PEREIRO DE PALHACANA “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 27, 1995.

The cherries and grapes symbolise the main agricultural crops in the area. The windmill blades symbolise the many windmills that can be found in the municipality.
