Region : Catalonia
Province : Girona

Escudo de Pardines

Official blazon

Escut caironat: de sinople, una vall d'or amb 4 pals de gules, acompanyada d'una estrella d'argent dins un llunell d'argent. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 15th September 2000.

The star and the crescents are an allusion to the protomartyr St. Stephen, the local patron saint. The 1st wavy partition Vert represents the valley of Pardines, where the river Segadell flows. The 2nd partition shows the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four pales Gules on Or), because the village belonged to the crown since the 14th century.
