  • (fi) Sini-hopeakatkoisessa kentässä kaksi tasakylkistä viisikulmiota, joista kumpikin yhdellä sivullaan koskettaa pitkin toista erottavaa koroa; kuviossa lipuke; kaikki vuorovärisiä.
  • (sv) I fält delat av blått och silver två liksidiga femhörningar, som med varsin ena sida tangerar varandra längs den delande skuran, figuren belagd med en biljett; allt av motsatta tinkturer.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 26, 1963.

The name may be derived from the rowd Pörte, meaning a log-cabin. The arms thus show a cabin reflected in the water, to symbolise the many lakes in the municipality.
