Escudo de ouro, livro aberto de prata, guarnecido de vermelho e brocante em pala, uma pena de azul, tudo envolvido por um ramo de oliveira verde, frutado de negro e duas espigas de trigo de verde, com os pés passados em aspa. Coroa mural de prata três de torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro: “ PÓVOA DE SANTARÉM “.
Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on July 12, 2000.
The book and feather refer to the famous local author Alexandre Herculano. The olive branch and wheat ear are symbols for the main agricultural crops in the parish.
