Origin/meaning

The municipality continued in 2007 the use of the former arms of Luopioinen.

The previous arms were granted on May 3, 1956.

The rooster refers to the (now ruined) medieval stone church in the village. The rooster holds a stylus, as in 1719 the 'ABC' book was published, a pedagogical book printed in Pälkäne.
