Origin/meaning

The first quarter shows the Cocoa House and the University of Ibadan which symbolize intellectualism and development. The second quarter shows a talking drum and beaded gourd which celebrate the deep traditional root and the rich cultural heritage of the state. The stars in the thrid quarter symbolize the 33 local government areas of the state whereas the fourth quarter refers to the agricultural richness of the state.
