Official blazon

  • (1818) Dwars door midden gedeeld, het eerste deel van lazuur beladen met een degen van zilver, het gevest van goud, het tweede deel van sabel.
  • (1844) Een schild van blaeuw op zwart dwars afgesneden, het eerste deel beladen met eenen zilveren degen, regt geplaetst, met eene gulden greep en met knopjes ook van goud.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 29, 1818 and again on May 17, 1844.
