Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 17, 1928.

The diamonds are the diamonds of bayern and refer to the fact that the area belonged to Bayern until 1779. The silver pale in red refers to Austia, to which the area belongs since.

The rising sun refers to the local legend that the name of the village refers to an Eastern slope of a hill (Ost=East).

The municipality also uses the motto 'Juste judicate filii hominum', which indicates that a local court has been held here since medieval times. The motto, however, is never officially granted.
