OLESA DE BONESVALLS

Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona

Olesab.png

Official blazon

Escut caironat: d'Or, una vall de sinople acompanyada d'una petxina de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms have been officially granted on 29th January 1990.

The shell is one of the attributes of St. John the Baptist, the local patron saint. The valley below is a canting sign referred to a part of the village's name: Bonesvalls means literally in Catalan "good valleys".
