Origin/meaningThe arms were granted in 1951. The wavy bar symbolises the Amper river in the municipality. The reed symbolises the fact that the area historically was a swamp or boggy area. The wheatears symbolise the agriculture on the cultivated lands. The chief shows the arms of Bayern.
