Wapen: In blou, 'n golwende skildvoet van silwer belaai met twee golwende dwarsbalke van blou, daaroorheen 'n sterrekruis van rooi, uitkomend van die skildvoet 'n brug met drie pilare van silwer; op 'n skildhoof van silwer, 'n swart adelaar getong en genael van rooi tussen regs 'n wawiel en links 'n tandrat, albei rooi.
Helmteken: 'n Doringboom op 'n grasgrond, alles van natuurlike kleur.
Wrong en Dekklede: Silwer en blou
Skildhouers: Twee koedoes van natuurlike kleur.
Wapenspreuk: SEMPER PRORSUM

Arms: Azure, a base wavy Argent, charged with two bars wavy Azure, surmounted by a star cross Gules; issuant therefrom a bridge with three pillars Argent; on a chief Argent, an eagle Sable, langued and membered Gules, between dexter a wagon-wheel and sinister a cog-wheel, Gules.
Crest: On a mount a thorntree proper.
Wreath and mantling: Argent and Azure
Supporters: Two kudus proper
Motto: SEMPER PRORSUM

Origin/meaning

The name of the town means Small Broad River, which is symbolised by the river and the bridge. The upper part shows the German eagle and symbols of industry. The supporters are two kudus.
