Selected collector's items from Germany:

OBERSCHEINFELD

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Neustadt an der Aisch (until 1973 Scheinfeld)
Additions : 1972 Appenfelden, Herpersdorf, Krettenbach, Prühl und Stierhöfstetten

Wappen von Oberscheinfeld

Official blazon

  • (de) In Blau die strahlende goldene Sonne, in der Mitte belegt mit einem goldenen Schildchen, darin ein mit einer silbernen Schrägleiste überdeckter, rot bewehrter schwarzer Löwe.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 6, 1938.

The arms are based on the 16th century seal of the town. The town historically belonged to the State and the Bishops of Bamberg, and thus show the arms of Bamberg as an escutcheon. The sun behind the escutheon is canting, Scheinen is shining.
