State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Kusel
Verbandsgemeinde : Kusel

Oberalbe.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 23, 1983.

The wavy bend symbolises the Albbach, that flows through the village. Historically the village was part of the Amt Ulmet district of the Counts of Veldenz (later Pfalz-Zweibrücken). This is symbolised by the golden lion of Veldenz and the Pfalz, as well as the initials of Amt Ulmet (A and V)
