Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
Nordheim
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Donau-Ries (until 1972 Donauwörth)
Incorporated into : 1971 Donauwörth
Official blazon
Über silbernem Schildfuß, darin ein durchgehendes rotes Kreuz, in Schwarz eine goldene heraldische Kleestaube.
Origin/meaning
The cross in the lower half is taken from the parish saint of Auchsesheim, Gaint George, as the village belonged to the Auchsesheim parish. The clover plant in the upper half symbolises the agricultural character of the village. The colours are those of the city of Donauwörth.
