In Gold der heilige Laurentius in silbernem Unter-, rotem Obergewand und roten Schuhen, mit der Rechten einen schwarzen Rost haltend, in der Linken ein silbernes Buch tragend.

Origin/meaning

Niedernhall was from 1326-1799 a joined possession of the Princes of Hohenlohe and the Bishops of Mainz. In 1356 Niedernhall received city rights from Emperor Karl IV. From the 15^th century onwards all seals and arms showed the image of the local patron saint, St. Lawrence with the grill.
