NIEDERASCHAU

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Rosenheim
Incorporated into : 1966 Aschau im Chiemgau

Wappen von Niederaschau

Official blazon

(de) In Silber auf der mittleren Kuppe eines dreiteiligen blauen Felsenberges eine grüne Esche.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1951.

The arms show a canting ash tree (Esche) on a mountain. The tree is derived from the arms of the Lords of Aschau, which are known from 1265-1326.
