(de) Im goldenen Schild ein rot bewehrter schwarzer Adler mit Ziegenkopf, belegt mit einem von Schwarz und Gold geteilten Schild, darin oben ein sechsstrahliger silberner Stern.
Origin/meaning
The arms are known since 1605. The goat-headed eagle with the small shield are arms of the Counts of Ziegenhain, who ruled the city for many centuries.
