NEUENBURG

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald (until 1973 Hochschwarzwald)
Incorporated into : 1931 Bachheim (1974 Löffingen)

Wappen von Neuenburg (Löffingen)/Arms (crest) of Neuenburg (Löffingen)
Official blazon
German

Von silber-blauem Wolkenfeh-Schildrand umgeben, in Silber über erniedrigtem blauem Wellenbalken ein rotes Mühlrad.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed and adopted in 1903.

The arms showed the arms of the Counts of Fürstenberg (see Dittishausen), with in the middle a wavy bar and water mill wheel. The village belonged for many centuries to Fürstenberg and the river and wheel indicate the importance of the water mills in earlier centuries.
